A quick look at how it works
KaraoQueue Chrome Extension
Required for the host to auto-play songs on YouTube.
Extension coming soon to the Chrome Web Store.
For guests
Works on any phone, tablet, or browser.
Get the room code
Ask the host for the 5-letter room code.
Open the room link
Go to the link the host shared, or visit the app and enter the code manually.
Enter your name
Type your name so the host and other guests know whose song is coming up.
Add songs
Search for a song by name or paste a YouTube link. Hit Add and it goes straight into the queue.
For hosts
You need Chrome on a desktop computer.
Install the extension
Download and install the KaraoQueue Chrome extension on the computer connected to the TV or speaker.
Create a room
Open the app, go to Host a Room, give it a name and hit Create. You'll get a 5-letter code.
Share the code
Copy the join link and send it to your guests, or just tell them the room code.
Connect the extension
Open YouTube. A KaraoQueue bar will appear at the top of the page. Type the room code into the bar and hit Connect.
Manage the queue
From the host view you can see who's up next, move songs, skip, or remove them. The extension handles playback automatically.
