Overview

KaraoQueue is a free tool that manages karaoke queues. We collect as little data as possible. We do not sell anything. We do not run ads.

What we collect

Room and queue data. When a host creates a room, we store the room name, a generated room code, and queue items (song titles, YouTube video IDs, and singer names). We delete this data when the host closes the room.

Singer names. Guests enter a display name when they join a room. The browser saves this name in local storage on the guest's device. We include the name in queue entries. We do not link the name to any account or identity.

Anonymous authentication. We sign hosts in anonymously when they create a room. We require no email, name, or password. We use this token only to verify room ownership.

Extension data. The Chrome extension stores the room code and session state in Chrome's local storage. This data stays on your device. We use it only to connect to your room.

What we do not collect

  • - Email addresses or passwords
  • - IP addresses or location data
  • - Device identifiers or fingerprints
  • - Browsing history or usage analytics
  • - Payment information

Third-party services

Supabase. We use Supabase to store room and queue data and to handle anonymous authentication. See supabase.com/privacy.

YouTube Data API. Song search uses the YouTube Data API. We send the queries to Google's servers. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We delete room and queue data when the host closes the room. Anonymous auth tokens expire automatically. Singer names stay in local storage on the guest's device until the guest clears the browser data.
