Overview
KaraoQueue is a free tool for managing karaoke queues. We collect as little data as possible, we do not sell anything, and we do not run ads.
What we collect
Room and queue data. When a host creates a room, we store the room name, a generated room code, and queue items (song titles, YouTube video IDs, and singer names). This data is deleted when the room is closed.
Singer names. Guests enter a display name when joining a room. This name is saved in the browser's local storage on the guest's device and included in queue entries. It is not linked to any account or identity.
Anonymous authentication. Hosts are signed in anonymously when they create a room. No email, name, or password is required. This token is used only to verify room ownership.
Extension data. The Chrome extension stores the room code and session state in Chrome's local storage. This data stays on your device and is used only to connect to your room.
What we do not collect
- — Email addresses or passwords
- — IP addresses or location data
- — Device identifiers or fingerprints
- — Browsing history or usage analytics
- — Payment information
Third-party services
Supabase. We use Supabase to store room and queue data and handle anonymous authentication. See supabase.com/privacy.
YouTube Data API. Song search uses the YouTube Data API. Queries are sent to Google's servers. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Data retention
Room and queue data is deleted when the host closes the room. Anonymous auth tokens expire automatically. Singer names stored in local storage remain on the guest's device until they clear their browser data.
